History

The Fallen Firefighter Memorial Plaza has been a joint venture between the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation, Division of Fire and Life Safety and the Fire Service Organizations found in the state of South Carolina.

Located on property donated by LLR at the South Carolina Fire Academy, the Fallen Firefighter Memorial Plaza displays the names of those Firefighters who have made the supreme sacrifice in the Line of Duty.

The Memorial plaza was dedicated on August 28, 1999 after years of planning for the site.
